ICT policy

Educationalists have acknowledged the benefits of curriculum-based internet use. The purpose of the Internet Acceptable Usage Policy is to ensure that pupils will benefit from the learning opportunities offered by the school’s internet resources while being protected from harmful content. Scoil Padre Pio will employ a number of strategies to maximise learning opportunities and reduce risks associated with the Internet.

These strategies are as follows:

3. Filtering/Monitoring

Scoil Padre Pio have a clear policy on pupils bringing mobile phones and other electronics onto school grounds. They are not allowed to be used on school premises except in emergencies or with the approval of a teacher.
